About me ... And the Vision
A photographer of British fungi, and author of Field Guide to the Mushrooms of Britain and Europe (New Holland) 2016.
After years spent documenting and photographing the intricate grounded world of fungi; I have evolved, and my motivation has shifted from the microscopic precision of the forest floor to the exploration of trees. I use Intentional Camera Movement to capture the complex textures and mood of trees, both groups and individual. Each piece in this series prioritises the effect of the ethereal, over literal detail, with the aim of creating ‘living paintings’ that show the quiet, constant motion of the natural world.
These works remain untitled to allow individual sensory responses.

This is a small and intimate series. I will periodically update the gallery and may in the future introduce seascapes.
